Studio in the Woods is an architecture workshop concerned with the testing of ideas at 1:1. Our particular group, run by Kate Darby and Gianni Botsford, was interested in the movement of the sunlight through the forest. Using mirrors to reflect light from brighter clearings to the underneath of a dark elm tree, the propsal tracked the movements of spots of reflected sunlight. It was at once analysis and proposal, what Kate and Gianni deemed ‘constructed analysis’.
